K
G BRAVEHEART - 1996 APHA bright chestnut and white tobiano
stallion. By "Ebony Heart" (APHA black stallion), out of
"Touch My Heart" (APHA chestnut and white tobiano mare).
This is one of the best made, most beautifully marked stallion
prospects I've seen in the United States in years. "K G
Braveheart" has "APHA Champion" written all over him! He
stands 15-1 hands. "Brave" will make a really flashy
reiner. He has also shown an interest in working cattle.
He's 'catty' in his movement, and has the most gorgeous,
long, white, full mane you've ever seen! ("K G Braveheart"
is very versatile in his abilities and when worked over
fences, has lovely, correct form. He is extraordinary in
all three gaits. Hunter mare owners will love him!) His
legs are wonderful (correct, plenty of bone, and great feet),
his body is well muscled with proper angles to be a superior
athlete, and his graceful neck and beautiful head set off
an outstanding package! To top off these bold physical qualities,
he has a sweet, inquisitive attitude. The kind that begets
a stallion who is willing, easy to handle, and develops
into a brilliant performer and breeder. He works beautifully
under saddle, and has proved to be intelligent, light, and
eager to please. (Last summer, a 14 year old girl exercised
him under saddle everyday.)
"Braveheart"
is line-bred "Atahi", and should mark his get with all of
the outstanding traits Karen Griffith Farms has been working
to achieve over the last thirty years. Make a name for yourself
in the show ring and breeding world that others spend a
lifetime attaining! A good investment for financial success
at $25,500. Introductory breeding fee $500.
K
G MIRAGE - 1994 APHA chestnut and white tobiano stallion.
Very fancy Pinto Colored Sport Pony! By "Halloween" (APHA
sorrel and white overo stallion), out of "Sugar Blues" (APHA
palomino and white tobiano mare - "Atahi's" full sister).
There are not many horses born each year that have the ability
to become a successful stallion. An animal needs that combination
of flawless conformation, athletic ability, a trainable
mind, and that intangible characteristic "charisma". "K
G Mirage" has all of these qualities! He has beautiful coloring,
the prettiest head and neck you'll ever see, is very refined
while maintaining substantial bone, and has the very correct
conformation and flowing movement to model. He should put
a wonderful flowing stride and beautiful pinto markings
on your fancy Pony Hunter,Quarter Pony, and Sport Pony mares!
He stands 14 hands. His full sister "K
G Masquerade", was always in the top ribbons on
the Canadian, "A" large pony hunter circuit. "K G Mirage"
is just as talented, and if anything, more beautiful! If
you choose, he has a very bright future in the show ring.
He has an even more brilliant future siring Champion Sport
Ponies and "A" Circuit Hunter Pony winners. Mirage's beautiful
pinto tobiano markings are just "icing" on the cake! Have
"K G Mirage" sire your next Devon Champion! Fairly priced
at $15,000. Breeding fee $500.
DIXIE
HEART - 1996 APHA dark bay and white tobiano stallion.
By "Close To Heart" (APHA), out of "Skips Dixie"
(APHA) - (Click for pedigree).
If you're looking for an exquisitely marked, world
caliber stallion, this is a fellow you really need to see!
He is 65% dark bay and 35% white, with his color placed
beautifully. He has a lovely head with a strongly pronounced
jaw and a beautiful shallow mouth. His eyes are dark with
a perfectly centered blaze. This young stallion's conformation
is flawless! "Dixie Heart's" pedigree boasts countless World
and National Champions on both sides! You've already heard
a bit about his sire, "Close to Heart", and his outstanding
working blood, but to top it off, his dam, "Skips Dixie"
(a multiple Halter winner and great working mare), is an
own daughter of the late, great Quarter Horse sire
"Sir Raleigh"! "Sir Raleigh" was the sire of multiple;
AQHA World Champions (in both Halter and Performance), AQHA
Champions, Superior Halter Horses, and Superior Performance
Horses (in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Working
Hunter, Pleasure Driving, Hunter Hack, Western Riding, and
Trail). He sired countless Register Of Merit horses. "Sir
Raleigh" was also the sire of "Skips Sierra Nick", the winner
of the 'Copenhagen/Skoal Superhorse' award at the AQHA World
Show. (A 13 page production record on "Sir Raleigh" is available
upon request.) This outstanding stallion prospect is one
of those few horses in the nation that really has
the ability to sire winners in both the halter and
a variety of performance classes. He should make an outstanding
reining horse, with the great looks to "knock-the-socks-off"
the judges, and the "cow-blood" to easily get his points
in cutting or team penning. It's seldom you find all of
these qualities in one package! Reasonably priced at $15,000.
Introductory breeding fee $500.
K
G MYSTIQUE - 1988 APHA palomino and white tobiano/overo
mare. This mare is elegance personified. 14-1 7/8 hands.
She will be able to show in the English and/or the western
classes. "Mystique" is a superior mover at all three
gaits, and should do well over fences, in dressage, or as
a reiner. In whatever discipline you choose, she's sure
to be a winner. As a breeding animal, she is outstanding.
In 1996, "Mystique" delivered a beautiful sorrel colt with
white markings by "Phantom Heart". She was an
attentive and loving mother. (I sold this colt before he
had even begun his training.) In 2000 she produced a fancy
bay and white tovero filly by a solid colored stallion!
In 2001 she produced a FANCY (a Devon kind of fancy) buckskin
colt! This May she foaled a spectacular, absolutely correct,
chestnut filly with a perfect diamond on her forehead. For
you folks looking for something to show on the line, you
really need to check out "K G Mystique's" babies! "K G Mystique"
is easy to handle and loves people. During the time she
should have been finished and taken to the show ring, we
were dealing with serious health problems in our immediate
family. If you are looking for a superbly bred, reasonably
priced mare to begin your breeding program, or a fine animal
to finish and take to the ring, "K G Mystique" is an outstanding
individual. By "Halloween" (APHA), out of "Sugar Blues"
(APHA - full sister to AHSA Champion Sire Atahi). "K G Mystique"
and "K G Masquerade"
are full sisters. Reasonably priced at $15,000.
K
G THRILLER - 1990 APHA bright chestnut and white tobiano
gelding, 15 hands. This flashy boy is a full brother to
"K G Masquerade",
who has shown so successfully over fences on the toughest,
Canadian "A" circuit. "Thriller" goes very nicely under
saddle, is good on trails, and is very responsive. He has
good basics on his lateral work and bends easily. In addition
to being a great mover for dressage and over fences work,
he has the ability to be a really flashy reiner. His stride
and movement are what every breeder hopes to see in the
horses he/she gives to the industry. "Thriller" has the
movement, stamina, and agility to be a very nice event horse.
He would also make a wonderful children's or ladies' dressage
mount. This fellow has a pretty head, an elegant neck, a
strong back and loin, and clean, straight legs. His gaits
are classic. He is smooth to ride, and makes having a wonderful
seat look effortless. "Thriller" has a lovely personality,
and is ready for you to add the finishing touches of your
specific discipline. He is definitely an eye catcher! By
"Halloween" (APHA), out of "Sugar Blues" (APHA). Affordably
priced at $16,000.
Cream
Heart and Heart Skip would make a flashy driving team!
CREAM HEART - APHA perlino overo gelding.
14-1 hands. Ideal conformation with muscle to spare.
Sound in every way. His breeding, athletic ability,
and personality make his potential limitless. He should
rein, rope, team pen, drive, or do any type of work
you ask of him. He is another one of the horses whose
training was delayed due to family health problems.
"Cream" will be put into training this year. By "Atahi"
(APHA), out of "Skips Dixie" (APHA crop-out mare by
"Sir Raleigh" (AQHA sire of 1981 AQHA World Show Copenhagen/Skoal
Superhorse, "Skip's Sierra Nick"). (Click here for
"Skips
Dixie's" pedigree.) $3,500, prior to
this year's training. Give this boy a good, loving
home, and put him in a job.
HEART
SKIP - APHA cremello and white tobiano gelding.
"Skip" has the cutest head with little 'fox' ears,
a pretty, clean neck, and a body and legs that are
impossible to fault. He's sharp enough to show on
the line, but is bred to perform. He stands 14-1 hands
and is a really 'catty' mover. He should be an eye-catching
little reiner, or a fancy large pony hunter. "Heart
Skip" will make someone a very nice show horse! By
"Atahi" (APHA), out of "Skips Dixie" (APHA - multiple
halter winner, and own daughter of Sir Raleigh AQHA).
Dixie's" pedigree.) $3,500.

HEARTS
AFIRE - 1991 APHA sorrel and white tobiano/overo mare.
Reining/cutting breeding deluxe! "Hearts Afire" has
one of the most outstanding "foundation" pedigrees available
anywhere in the country! With this breeding also comes versatility!
She is also capable of doing the large pony hunters, as
she is just under 14-2 hands and has the movement, form,
and attitude to succeed in "A" circuit company. "Hearts
Afire" has impeccable conformation and color. To work with
her is a joy! "Charlie" (the name she was christened with
by the children at the barn) is good in traffic (she's been
ridden daily along a freeway), is calm around barking dogs,
strange objects, trains, etc., is good on trails, and loves
to jump. She can do a nice extended trot for English, and
is easily collected for a smooth western pleasure jog. She
is light, responsive and athletic. "Charlie" loves children
and has the looks, attitude, and ability to be a wonderful
show mare. With her superb pedigree and outstanding
athletic ability, you should seriously consider "Hearts
Afire" for your child's companion and show winner, or your
next open reiner/cutter. By "Atahi" (APHA), out of "Little
Bit Glo" (1968 AQHA sorrel mare -- extended pedigree available).
$25,000. "Hearts Afire" is available for lease - contact
Karen Griffith at (740) 992-5782 for details.
HAUNTED
HEART - Very fancy APHA red dun and white tobiano
mare. Flashy Pinto markings. Very well balanced.
Really cute face, beautiful neck, textbook perfect
legs and feet. Can show barefoot. No need for shoes. If
you want to win the Medium Hunter Pony In Hand class, Haunted
Heart is your girl. I don't know where a judge could fault
this fine mare! Haunted Heart's disposition is as sweet,
willing, and consistent as it can be. She loves
attention. "Haunted Heart" stands 13-1 7/8 hands, and is
such a pretty mover, she will excel in any "A" circuit Medium
Pony Hunter or Children's Hunter Pony Division. This
little mare has it all! (Her 3/4 sister
"K G Masquerade" was always in the top
ribbons on the "A" Large Pony Hunter circuit in Canada,
and "Haunted Heart" is just as talented.) Come meet this
sweet mare and you'll take her home for sure! By "Halloween"
(APHA), out of "Catch My Heart" (APHA - "Atahi"
daughter). A really smart buy under $30,000. (One season
over fences and she's a high five-figure pony!) This pony
will make you a "star"!
SOUTHERN
HEART - SOLD -1993
solid seal bay gelding. This gelding is a really
classy fellow! His rich, deep bay covers a body with plenty
of muscle, perfect conformation, and a head as pretty as
you'll ever want to see looking through a bridle! He stands
14-1 hands. "Southern Heart" is a nice mover, a natural
lead changer, and is bred to be a winner in any "A" circuit
company! By "Atahi", out of "Skips Dixie".
Congratulations
to: Kaci Moore of Hamilton, Ohio on her purchase of Southern
Heart!
BLAZON
HEART - 1993 solid dark bay gelding. This is a nicely
conformed, good moving, athletic animal. He will make an
outstanding large pony hunter! He is 1/4 Thoroughbred, and
stands 14-1 hands. He is a rich, solid bay with a perfect
blaze and two socks. If you're looking for a classy gelding
to head toward the "A" circuit, here's your boy! (Eligible
green.) For you Quarter Pony enthusiasts, you've just found
your all around prospect, as Blaze will shine in the Western
events as well. By "Ebony Heart", out of "J Bar's Patchwork",
one of my best producing mares. $3,500.
HEARTS
DESIRE - 1996 APHA sorrel and white tobiano mare. "Cute"
doesn't do justice in describing this exceptional mare,
but it's the first thing that strikes you about her. She
has stunning Paint markings, exquisite conformation, and
the most endearing personality you'll ever see. She is out
of an extremely well bred 13 hand Quarter Horse mare, and
she is the only direct "Atahi" offspring to stay under 13-2
hands for the medium pony hunters! Hearts Desire is a big
enough mover and long enough bodied for a small adult to
train and school. With her good mind, you could have her
ready to show in 60 days. If you're looking for a mare that
your child can take to take to the "A" shows, you should
seriously consider this flashy girl. By "Atahi" (APHA -
AHSA Champion Sire), out of "Little Bit Glo" (AQHA). A great
buy at $5,500.

THIEVIN
HEART - 1997 APHA dark gold buckskin and white tobiano
filly. This filly is beautifully marked (65% buckskin/35%
white), with both white and black in her mane and tail.
She is very conformationally correct, and has a lovely
head. Being line-bred "Atahi", what else would you expect!
She is a full sister to "Desert Heart". She is bred to perform,
but has the looks to show on the line. "Thievin Heart" should
make a superb cutting or reining mare. (Note for you reiners:
Her mane is silky and mostly white. The longest point is
already to her elbow. Unusual for a mare.) Thievin Heart
would also make a really fancy sport pony as she will stay
under 14.2 hands. She's willing and tries to please. If
performance and outstanding bloodlines for your future success
as a breeder are your goal, then this is the filly for which
you've been searching! By "Ebony Heart" (black-APHA), out
of "Steal My Heart" (buckskin/white APHA). $12,000.
HEART
THIEF - 1998 APHA dark gold buckskin and white tobiano
filly. This filly is a full sister to "Thievin Heart" (1997
APHA tobiano filly -- listed above). She is marked very
similar to her older sister and is just as correct. She
will be outstanding in reining or cutting or will be a fancy
large pony hunter prospect. She should mature close to 14-2
hands. With this filly's great pedigree, conformation, and
athletic ability, she will be well worth her 'keep' as a
performer or producer of future fine Paints. She is also
a perfect match to "Thievin Heart" for you team driving
enthusiasts.$7,500.

This colt is definitely stallion material! He is
beautifully marked, has a very cute head, textbook perfect

out of "Steal My Heart" (APHA homozygous tobiano "Atahi"

movement is fluid and reaching. His markings are 60/40 (black/white),
and are beautifully placed. He is a lovely sight under saddle.
A recent customer, who was stunned by his beauty, described

ATAHI
II - 1999 APHA jet black and white tobiano stallion.
You can tell by his name how this spectacular young
stallion has been evaluated! "Atahi II" is Big, Black, and
Beautiful! For twenty-six years the name "Atahi" had belonged
to one horse only! I've added a 'II' after the name to describe
just how perfect this stud is! He is 70% black and 30% white.
His markings are fantastic, and his conformation is faultless!
He has an exceptionally sweet, willing disposition.
He is a double grandson of "Atahi". "Atahi II" is the best
balanced, highest quality black and white stallion (tobiano
or overo) of his age that I've ever seen. I feel he will
produce the next (fifth) generation of successful, sound,
beautiful, Paint horses at Karen Griffith Farms.
He is
by "Ebony Heart" (APHA black stallion-outstanding own son
of "Atahi", AHSA Champion Sire), out of "Win My Heart" (APHA dark bay and white, homozygous, tobiano
mare-one of "Atahi's" best daughters). Keep in mind that
the great horses like Leo, Wimpy, etc., etc., were produced
by this half brother, half sister mating of prepotent, genetically
correct sires. I waited 20 years to line breed "Atahi" offspring.
I wish I had begun sooner, but I'm old fashioned, and wanted
to breed to a large variety of mares to make sure there
were no 'fluke' genes there to crop up. You've probably
heard the old saying....."You could breed that horse to
a hay wagon and make a race horse! " Well, "Atahi" has proven
to be one of those genetically superior stallions. With
"Atahi II's superb genetics, absolutely flawless conformation,
willing disposition, and beautiful coloring, he should stamp
his offspring with all of the outstanding qualities that
Karen Griffith Farms has worked so diligently to achieve
over the last 30 years. Introductory breeding fee $750.
"Atahi
II" is not available for outright purchase, but I will begin
to sell reserved breeding shares this year. To obtain syndication/price
information, contact Karen Griffith, at Karen Griffith Farms,
